We believe that our kids are our most important ministry and are active participants in the body of Christ!
Our kids join us for musical worship and for the portion of the adult gathering where they can be poured into and loved on by not only their parents, but the rest of the church body. There is no junior Holy Spirit and our children have gifts and talents, given by God, to learn from and share with the rest of the body.
We believe our kids are NOT a distraction — but that they have so much to teach us about the Kingdom of God. We believe in pouring into parents and teaching them how to disciple their children and giving them tools to have an impactful relationship with their Heavenly Father.
Kid-Related FAQs:
Q: Do you have a kid’s ministry?
A: No, we do not. Our kids are present during our entire gathering time as they are a part of the greater church body. We encourage you to not allow this to sway you from joining us though! We have seen our kids grow and learn about Jesus in such a greater measure, and seeing them operate in their giftings.
Q: What does your children’s time look like during your public gatherings (Hub Gathering and Open Ministry Nights)?
A: This can be different each time! We invite our kids to join us in musical worship and many love to dance and flag! Then, we spend time pouring into the kids, praying over them, or having a discussion at their level. After that, kids are free to play quietly with provided coloring / toys or engage in the rest of the gathering and ministry time (which is encouraged if they are able to!)
Q: How can I as a parent help my child engage during a gathering?
A: Talk to your child during the gathering! Explain what is happening at their level and invite them to participate. If the Holy Spirit is moving on someone greatly, point it out and explain what is happening. If ministry time is happening, tell your child what is happening and ask them if they want to join. When invited, we have been seeing our kids operate in bold prayers, miracle healings, baptism of the Spirit, and more!
Q: What does your children’s time look like during house church?
A: This can also be different each time and each house church does this a bit differently. The most important thing is making sure the kids feel included and aren’t ignored, but are given a space to learn, ask questions, and participate in dicussion (at age appropriate levels of course). When their attention span is up (which we know happens with kids), they are free to play, color, or whatever the house church leader has designated for them.
Q: What are some good resources for equipping parents to lead their children?
A: See “Kingdom Parenting” under our Recommended Resources page.
