Our conviction is that God is bringing His church back to to the blueprint He established that we read of in the book of Acts. The first churches met in homes, and then regularly assembled together as a body of believers in the city. We are incorporating this via house churches and hub gatherings.
House Church definition — an intimate, small body of believers gathered together in a home to focus on spiritual formation (sanctification, becoming Christ-like) in a family setting.
Hub definition — a gathering of the larger body to focus on empowering and unity. This is where we gather all the house churches and the saints to equip them to “go” into all the world and proclaim the gospel.
FAQs
Q: When do you meet?
A: Our house churches meet weekly in homes (usually Sunday afternoon/evening but times may vary by location). Our hub gathering is currently the first Sunday of each month at 10am.
Q: Can I join a house church?
A: Absolutely! However, as we believe house church is family and we meet in people’s homes, it’s important to bring people in as we get to know them for spiritual safety. This may be through building relationships, discipleship conversations, or just getting to know someone. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us at connect@storyfm.church
Q: What do your house church gatherings look like?
A: They may look different every week! We believe in incorporating these five pillars: worship, word, ministry, prayer, and fellowship. However, one week the church may gather in prayer, or just spend a night in worship. As long as the five pillars are being regularly incorporated, we allow the Holy Spirit to lead these gatherings.
Q: What do your hub gatherings look like?
A: These also may look different every month. We believe these gatherings are specifically for gathering the saints for unity, encouragement, and equipping. This will usually include some type of teaching, equipping, activation, or impartation. These are also lead by the Spirit and may change based upon the month.
Q: Can I come to your hub gathering?
A: Our hub gatherings are open invitation to anyone in the community. We would love to have you join us.
